for the preliminary interview:

" m$ P" y |% t' D* M- s# othere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

it's divided into 2 sections, ]2 y* m* [7 d

all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare" W3 S" W2 S7 _% {# p
+ o4 y/ {5 Q7 [ [: R5 Q& E' Ztopic like "environment, biscuit...."8 C. G9 [4 k% ^& t" _$ Q

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion8 P/ u: _4 p7 ?4 b& i/ m

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
