I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.2 H% Y0 I4 I( o7 V& v$ f* q

1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.: z9 Q+ L+ p& x1 t. W A7 I: J

When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.2 d, e% u5 H, c

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
