for the preliminary interview:: A  I/ ?& [7 {1 c( G4 X& O7 Y% z# `
3 z2 s$ H0 R3 I) X, E# r
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

7 Q- V+ k2 B) r5 q3 H7 Zit's divided into 2 sections,7 }/ e  m) E$ M6 z( _* x$ e
1 is impromptu talk
, ]# H. j& K  [; k; Yanother is group discusion
8 b# i- z2 N1 j! [8 D& f& f* g5 Y
all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare- V* Q6 u/ b+ @3 D  G

& t# ]5 K  z9 P6 s8 ntopic like "environment, biscuit...."

2 i! U8 t6 w$ [! a6 Pgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
