for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......; V! Z, q& z, N- U, Q
' X# w1 f8 G& H8 L8 j: C: D
for the extended interview:

% x6 X, d/ H( W9 E4 pit's divided into 2 sections,
: ^, H/ S! ^+ r1 q1 is impromptu talk$ f- x9 n/ m* F/ M
another is group discusion

2 z7 `* z' U8 [/ {all conducted in english2 ?; d- U# E+ Z+ W1 u

) X, [4 r' f# V) O. ?; `% y: d  {; qimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare/ e* t8 s8 F" |* k: T

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

# k, K, {* M( g) A8 P0 W$ G6 rgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion! y1 m  N5 v. L, Y% }, E, k
  o2 Y% W+ {8 O8 l/ i; Q" `

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
