I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.

" B( Y0 X+ b+ B% k3 v* ^- E$ [8 s$ W1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.4 C8 g% V2 c r d" T! n
t% ]2 L0 P9 G5 lWhen I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.3 s d- O$ n( [0 t4 `$ C
8 L q2 Y' E) x9 X; MThe ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
