for the preliminary interview: & \9 |3 G2 b) {. O, Z, h* X G9 S/ |, N$ k! R
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......2 V# _2 Y+ W+ a0 y# F $ a7 h- Y7 B( L$ J9 i) b6 l3 q
for the extended interview:) Q7 _6 Q. f2 {0 _% `- E' D, N
# ~ \1 q+ h3 \. f0 K- P
it's divided into 2 sections, 8 ^7 ~' h+ C% T5 Y: i/ x i1 is impromptu talk - G2 P, V* e/ i5 d. {& zanother is group discusion- ~# I2 X8 x4 a$ T( u- m
" \) I$ @4 j5 I# C' @all conducted in english& d; ?( c, V, k
! U @# j/ z V: T0 Yimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare1 _" _- j$ g7 s' i) j0 G
; `( q6 P% o- K }: G% E( Y6 stopic like "environment, biscuit...."( x+ `( S6 `% H8 X( M% t
9 n R& N0 M, k& B9 e3 d+ O0 Hgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion+ g4 \3 T- [ o- a8 M

I& F* R, s/ a+ M" O , n' \- N( n6 n/ Y% E v! o4 Mthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier! : N# B' y9 }1 k' f5 s9 t+ N0 L# G$ R' w
