451 should only be used when facing stongest team like Brazil not N.Ireland.
If he doesn't change tactics to 433 or 442, England may not be able to score one goal.

Erikson's faults:
1. use 451 at starting tactics
2. doesn't use power forward like Bent or Crough (or at least Rooney) for 451A
   (owen is best used for 451D and counter attack, and he has not played any formal match yet!)
3. many players are not in their best position: J.Cole, Rooney, Beckham
4. does not change the tactics to 433/442 at second half
5. use Defoe and still doesn't use power forward again when losing
...

Support sack him immediately and use McClaren to manage the remaining matches.

Etoo VS Owen, you say which is better in Headling, Ball Holding & Strength?
Barcelona and Chelsea use 451/433 because they have a power striker.

Owen is not power striker, he is a fast forward, best used for counter attack and
break offside trap.

But N.Ireland will not let Owen have any space to run. So I doubt Erikson knows what are the advantages and disadvantages of his players.

No midfields support because owen cannot hold the ball well and waiting others to run. If you lose the ball fast, others have no enough time to support.

Owen is now defended by Two defenders, not one. One mark him, one trap him.
He is not strong enough to do second pass.
He also has no enough space to run because N.Ireland is all defending and do not use offside trap.
And all the midfielders are marked by N.Ireland palyers.
If you cannot break the defence by either personal dribbling or heading, it is very difficult to have open shoot.
Owen shot several times in the match and I think he has done his best already.
The main problem is 451 & Erikson!

The result will be totally different.
