Manchester United manager Carlos Queiroz has 'no doubt' that Cristiano Ronaldo will remain with the club.


The Portugal winger has been quoted as saying he is considering a move to Real Madrid in the wake of his antics in the World Cup quarter-final against England, where he appeared to be involved in getting club-mate Wayne Rooney sent off.


But Queiroz insists his 21-year-old compatriot is going nowhere.

'Is Cristiano staying? No doubt. Everybody knows during this period of the season there is some speculation. But we keep cool. Those players (Ronaldo and defender Gabriel Heinze) are part of our family,' he told Sky Sports News.

Former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune is close to sealing a move to Bolton.
The 29-year-old South African left Old Trafford at the end of last season and has been at Bolton's pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

"Quinton would be a top player for us if he stays fit," manager Sam Allardyce told the club website.

"He has committed to our training regime to prove his fitness. I'm hopeful we'll sign him permanently."

Fortune, a midfielder who can also play in defence, joined Manchester United in 1999 for £1.5m from Atletico Madrid.

He made 76 appearances before being released at the end of the season.

In June, he rejected a move to Celtic because they would only offer him a one-year contract.
