I remember when I was 3 years old, Yes, 3 years old, I checked back the history.7 {+ f. Z9 Q0 N
I was looking outside.
' ?( y" [5 Y: J* u) N" u" D" X2 [+ p0 e$ Pand I saw some people were drinking champagne, celebrating something in a MTR train.6 i* w) r4 r. G# r
and they were dressing nicely.3 j! E5 `8 d4 y' k  y, @
Actually, that's the opening party for MTR trains in 1979.

Then I got nightmares everyday, cos the railway track...is just about 40m away from my home.
, B$ E! q3 K- y$ W6 a4 lI.e. I heard the noise from MTR trains in every 2 mins (or less in peak hours)   D9 j4 s. h: P' b: ?& E1 }. g
More horrible thing was: my living place was closing to the exit for the train depot.8 g( a! ?( v5 ^) S  u
I.e. when the trains are finished at 1am in the morning, I still need to hear the noise from trains until 2am every morning, and I heard the noise from the train before 5.45am in 3 hours later.

But if that's track work at overnight, i.e. you couldn't sleep for whole night.
