Reports in Spain suggest that Carlos Queiroz has asked Real Madrid defender Ivan Helguera to explore a move to Manchester United.

Helguera is out of contract at the end of the season but Real have yet to open talks regarding an extension.

The Spain international has declared a willingness to stay at Santiago Bernabeu, although he will likely have his pick of clubs next summer.

Serie A trio Juventus, Internazionale and Roma are all interested in the 30-year-old, while Bayern Munich are monitoring the situation.

But Premiership giants United could offer the centre half a switch to Old Trafford due to Queiroz's admiration for Helguera.

Queiroz spent a year working with Helguera while he was Real's coach but he is now back at United as assistant manager to Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Portuguese tactician is believed to have a strong influence with The Red Devils and is trying to persuade the club to offer Helguera a deal.

Rumours in Spain claim that Queiroz has spoken to the former Mallorca ace and has asked him to consider a switch to The Premiership next season.

Newcastle United were purportedly interested over the summer and Helguera accepts he will soon be in a position to talk with his suitors.

Helguera said: "From January, I will have the freedom to listen to offers and Madrid know this."

西班牙傳媒報導，曼聯副領隊昆雷斯正遊說皇家馬德里中堅希古拿加盟曼聯。

希古拿跟皇家馬德里的合約到本季尾便會完結，雖然他有意留效，但其他球會亦虎視眈眈。

昆雷斯以往曾執教皇家馬德里，故此相當清楚希古拿的實力，他可勝任中堅及防守中場的位置。

除了曼聯以外，拜仁慕尼黑、祖雲達斯甚至紐卡素亦注視著其動向。

不過皇家馬德里仍未與其展開續約，故此有可能在季末以自由身轉會。

李奧費迪南將與泰利擔任正選中堅

據英國傳媒報導，英格蘭國家隊領隊艾歷臣將會起用泰利夥拍李奧費迪南作為週末的中堅拍擋。

雖然李奧費迪南近期的表現受到批評，但仍深得艾歷臣的重用。

蘇甘保雖然近況不俗，但仍然遭艾歷臣拼棄在正選以外。

而加歷查將會取代艾殊利高爾擔任左後衛位置。加歷查以往在利物浦亦曾擔任過左後衛。
