for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......1 a! o8 [0 K: f8 |! V0 r

% W+ f' L2 O, n+ tfor the extended interview:

  S1 m. R. _. A* hit's divided into 2 sections,
& v9 Z  L& r- S$ y# C/ i3 X" A1 is impromptu talk" r$ ?0 h! O" B& g( s
another is group discusion) m; P% M' U8 {6 Y* i
: n7 ]4 g. R2 @/ a  `% G- x; ]
all conducted in english7 B2 ~4 P6 M6 D% g3 m6 _
6 q, h) n7 }8 [7 D; \8 d* U3 C! N
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."
) r5 n9 ]  V. D: y6 ~: J( \' f# K$ ], o0 B2 i3 a3 n# w
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion' b8 i; L& j6 @- w5 H; L! M
! N! @* ~% h2 ~3 }8 q% ^+ }# E

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes# K$ B  w2 ~& r, [2 f' G7 G7 z! j

" M7 Q9 |9 R8 t- O% y. C( sthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
