When I travel Japan (same for France),
* V/ Q' U, N6 @' B! LI found that in the train, people avoid to LOOK others with curiorsity." }( G) d' S6 h, e
Because their vision can DISTURB other people and it is very IMPOLITE to LOOK at other unknown passengers.

* N* P, T" u$ n" i! WHoweverm I catch MTR/train in HongKong, people dont have this concept at all,& B, h- O* q4 G6 H
and I found it very annoying, people just looking around on others.
