I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.- A, x) U9 C: l9 J
9 U5 ?4 o. ]" u. z3 N% {1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.( p# W* b% s( d+ d: h- u/ [
" g, K1 v$ ~7 i# M2 ?' NWhen I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.: m* {+ t3 t, f( z1 U' W9 x
, n9 N! s. B; j) U9 d$ N! LThe ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
