其實有時認為政府就業問題呢方面如果做得好d既話,,
7 j X: q( L8 Q' a- M1 ]香港自然經濟各方面都好d4 ]+ \& n, R V+ D3 A
失業率無咁高既話,自然香港人既消費意慾會上升! z$ Z( l L1 R2 Y* t, n5 k! ^2 P3 b
但係失業呢個問題又要關注到 薪金方面,- _8 Y# _$ v3 l" Q! @
因為以小弟所認識,,大部份飲食業都係缺少人手,/ q8 A2 g; R$ p+ d9 ^8 W9 H& W

When I heard the news, the first thing I had in mind was "30 HK dollars is like $4 Canadian dollars......": R" D/ R; D7 B+ R& w

Our minimum wage for a full time employee for our province is $9.5 Canadian dollars per hour(probably around 71 HK dollars). So as long as you are full time employed, the employer will needs to pay you $9.5 per hour (even you are just working in McDonalds).

: G! t: l0 B- d# o( Z% O8 hMy conclusion is, if HK government doesn't set up a rule for the minimum wage, the basic salary would only get lower and lower because the employers would only push it as low as it can be.: n7 B* p! k9 e' [1 D5 j+ t. I

) `* d R" U, g7 r7 PLittle bit of my own experience, when I first graduated a few years ago (before the economic crisis), my parents and relatives always ask me to go back to HK to find a job. * I3 ]7 ^/ [# b% ]% b" P
They always say like HK has more chances than in North America. {0 Y: w) n/ h% q2 L3 ]
1 P3 \1 y! V" [4 c# tI personally don't like Canada that much.....but the condition in HK is just 10 times worse than Canada.....

Honestly even right now, it would be easier for a person to find a job and get better pay in Canada or even US than in HK. |
