How about at the hospital?

8 G$ E8 K: w& e% d: {7 k& _2 mI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.' c& J8 C4 B7 N, j" B( A9 {5 q& N
; [' W8 ]# C3 l) l- h4 o7 c1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it., Q9 e- p% Z- F0 B, t
( b8 d Z( J, _' c$ ?9 o/ ?When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
