the above article is a little history of O'Shea. It stated O'Shea started to play as a midefielder in 04-05 season as Roy Keane's replacement...
and as i remember, he started as centre defender in Man Utd (very very sure!!)and Ireland as well~~~the reason he was not chosen to play as CB becuase Fergie thought he was too slow in turning around to chase back opponents, and his fitness could not last for a 90 mins match...he always exhausted after 70 mins~~so Fergie did not let to play as Cb anymore in Man Utd

his convertion is from CB to LB to DMF and now probably a forward as well!!...
