for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

it's divided into 2 sections,& `& y& l5 o1 R) c2 o
1 is impromptu talk U/ g3 p' ~7 j, n
another is group discusion

all conducted in english0 z, z/ A1 V6 j
9 J. L) F C! L9 eimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare \9 y& W3 Y) l3 T7 f) B- j$ K

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion% \+ W! m8 p0 [- I
