I didn't watch the match, but how did the referees help Bayern? Honestly I'm really glad United is out.

If he chose to play, he bears the risk of aggravating the injury. Why would you not go after the injured player on the opposing side, especially if he's the "key" player?

Basically United lost because Fergie is a crap manager and were outplayed by Bayern. And Fergie's "typical Germans" comment after the game makes no sense.
Only four German players were on the pitch: Butt, Lahm, Badstuber and Schweinsteiger
Only four players went up to the referee: Ribery (French), Van Bommel (Dutch), Olic (Croatian) and Schweinsteiger, the only German who did so.

Typical Fergie, blaming losses on the referees.
