By the law of the game, offside call for Bendtner was questionable, cos he might/might not blocking the view of the GK/defender.... so by spirit of the Law of the game, "Attacking football". There was a right call.

However, even though Bendtner was never close to Walcott. But he blocked the Newcastle defender, a foul called must be made.. and there should be an indirect free kick for Newcastle Utd. This referee made a big mistake

Sorry, I was really busy last week as I got crazy refereeing schedule (27 hours per week)

em.. I think that's mistake by Gomez... I saw the replay and
1) referee never blow the whistle, that's truth if that's not yellow card offence, I would let keeper to hold the ball, instead of giving free kick (i.e. more advantage for defensive team, Spurs in that situation)
2) referee's facial reaction showed what's his decision. Gomez ran out more than 10 yards and dropped the ball down... seriously.. do you think that's the position of the free kick if that's held?!

so I think that's nothing for the referee this time....

Gomez was absolutely stupid in this situation.
