Barcelona interest in Man Utd star

Barcelona may be interested in trying to tempt Alan Smith away from Manchester United. Smith who has been unable to secure a first team place with Man Utd has been the target of a few clubs amongst them Newcastle.

But up until now he has always insisted that he is happy at Manchester United and does not want to move. But could the news that Barcelona are interested tempt him away from Old Trafford?

Sir Alex has been told that he must sell before he can buy, but even so, it would still make Smith, who has not actually spent a full season yet with the club and unlikely departure.

In the last 2 seasons Manchester United have won 63% of their games - but 74% of the games that Fletcher has played in.  As a comparison United have won 66% of the games that Roy Keane has featured in.  In both of Fletcher's seasons United have won more games with him in the side than average - for a player that only turned 21 in February that is interesting.

Reports in Spain suggest that 28-year-old midfielder De la Pena, now at Espanyol, has caught the eye of United's scouts while they have been watching his team-mate, goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.

De la Pena was rated as one of the best young players in Europe while at Barcelona but lost his way somewhat in the ensuing years before returning to form with Espanyol.

小活佛De la Pena 都有興趣??

我睇完之後覺得有好深的感受
雖然我唔係完全同意佢講的所有野
但是如果真係贏到NEWCASTLE或者是FA CUP
可能真係反映曼聯球員的態度和鬥志都有好大的問題

Man Utd players challenge Fergie over Queiroz

Manchester United players are said to be unhappy with the growing influence of assistant manager Carlos Queiroz.
  
The Sun says United's senior players stars revolted over the increasing influence of Queiroz, who is being groomed as United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's eventual successor.

Senior players are unhappy manager Ferguson has given his No2 a bigger say over tactics, team selection and training and have made their complaints known to the gaffer.

Several players asked reserve boss Brian McClair to approach Fergie about the growing influence of Queiroz.

But Fergie furiously defended his Portuguese No2.
