Arsenal are set to make a ?7 million move for Argentina striker Carlos Tevez, according to reports.

Tevez's club Corinthians had claimed it would cost ?0 million to activate a clause in his contract, but the player's agent has now revealed it is actually 30 million euros - triggering an interest from Arsene Wenger, The Sun claims.

The interest in Tevez could hasten the departure of Ashley Cole to Chelsea in a ?0m deal.

Tevez is in the Argentina squad to face Brazil on Saturday at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and the plan is to unveil him before the game.

However, reports in the Brazilian press have claimed that Roma have already sealed a deal for Tevez.

O Estado de Sao Paulo reports that the player's agent is in Italy at the moment concluding a deal.

Tevez has been linked with a host of clubs since announcing he wanted to leave Corinthians, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Dennis Bergkamp has been awarded the World Top Scorer Award for 1992.

In case you're wondering why the Iceman has only just been presented with this award, 14 years after the awarded date, is because of a dispute of how many goals César Augusto Obando of Honduras actually scored for his country.

After accessing archive football footage, the IFFHS (International Federation of Football Historians and Statistics) deducted 1 goal from Obando's tally, scored against a Columbian team that wasn't the official national team.

This took his overall tally down to 11, 1 less than Bergkamp, who scored 12.

Rai of Brazil also managed 12 goals in that year. However, in the case of a tie, the player who has scored the most goals for his country wins.

Bergkamp had scored 7 for Holland, whereas Rai had only scored 6.
