I think that you should know that the changing ideas and beliefs in the society,that's not good for us and the church!

Now,many people don't believe the church anymore,so they try to question the church,it means that they don't esteen the church,like a scientist called Copercinus,he said that the sun is the centre of the universe,but the church told the people the centre of the universe is the earth,so Copercinus's discover is challenging the church!Unluckily,many people believe him,so I am afraid that the influence of the church will be declined.
Noy only the scientist,the writers also want to fight the church!A writer called Shakespeare wrote some poets,many of them are shown the injustice in the society,so I am afraid that the people think that the injustice are caused by the church,then thay will not esteen the church,therefore the society will become disorderly.

Finally,after the church allowed the people to cut the dead bodies,the people start to find out the cause of illness,but the illness should be caused by the sins,we had told them
but they still try to find the reason,it means the people don't believe the church!So I feel so n%|6]ng,Qp0G

To stop this unwelcome change,I thnik a proverb of Chinese is useful,"To execute one as a warning to a hundred."So I think we should punish the people who are fighting to the church,maybe punish them by capital punishment,such as burn them at the stake.After that,the other people don't want to die,so the won't fight to the church anymore.,x2pH%b Z1k

1. Your letter portraits a Pope with negative attitude towards changes. Is that fair to the Pope of that time? What did he really do? #M O I^ qQE rk$S
2. Science advance, and social injustice are facts. But are they really related to church? Or people just blamed everything to church like HK people blame everything to HK gov’t?

About the injustice,I thnik that it's really about the church.If the church did well,the injustice will not happen,so if many people read Shakespeare's poets and they thought the church was not food,therefore the influence of church will be declined again. Your reasoning is ok. I just think "To execute one as a warning to a hundred" is a very negative reaction and there are other ways that Pope can view the situation. That's why I suggested point #1, and #3 in post #3.

but i think that if the pope doesn't punish the people who fight with the church,therefore the people won't be afraid of the church,then the influence of the church will be declined,so i think the pope should punish the pope.
