White colour/non air-cond buses are called "platform buses"0 X% i/ O7 ~' Y5 a; `) @, X* H4 d# ?
it's because you need to walk a step up when you catch a bus

The first photo is Dennis Trident 12M, with Citybus,one of the low platform bus model
  V! M+ E. t) ]The second one is Leyland Olympain 12M, with "platform bus"
