i believe that can be easily explained by newton first law.
When no net force act on a object, the object will travel with constant velocity.3 r* B/ X2 [4 [/ _

Since the water on the earth will be attracted by gravitational force, it will fell on the ground.

But in the space, no force is added on the water will u X the ball ,so the water will remain its old velocity(don't move)
