I agree that Dream Team I was the best team ever; yet, I don't agree that NBA sucks that much nowadays.  U.S. didn't get a gold medal 'coz they didn't have their best players representing them.  Say, if Kidd, McGrady, Garnett, Duncan and O'Neal were playing against Johnson, Jordan, Pippen (didnt use Bird 'coz his back was hurt in 92), Malone and Robinson/Ewing, I think that would still be a close game.  

Just my humble opinion ...

Yes, assuming both team at their prime, I would think Dream Team I will probably beat the current team I proposed, but it will be a close game.  I think the current team have better front players whereas Dream Team I had better back court players.
