I remember when I was 3 years old, Yes, 3 years old, I checked back the history.

: k9 h5 o7 D. R0 G; m" |and I saw some people were drinking champagne, celebrating something in a MTR train.( R% |; h3 d: X8 Q# U  r4 a
and they were dressing nicely.
/ y, s) W, E/ O( v& O6 iActually, that's the opening party for MTR trains in 1979.( H- t5 ?0 w. g5 D5 A

+ r; v7 i& e" EThen I got nightmares everyday, cos the railway track...is just about 40m away from my home.& E/ J5 w% J, T0 F
I.e. I heard the noise from MTR trains in every 2 mins (or less in peak hours) ( Y3 ^; ]# x/ i) S" _* }; c
More horrible thing was: my living place was closing to the exit for the train depot.
. _; e7 X9 N! VI.e. when the trains are finished at 1am in the morning, I still need to hear the noise from trains until 2am every morning, and I heard the noise from the train before 5.45am in 3 hours later.

But if that's track work at overnight, i.e. you couldn't sleep for whole night.
