for the preliminary interview:

2 z8 X6 I: C, b4 Gthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......" O0 d! Q! G& ^( l  E; R5 }& V: F2 Q
! L* I3 N6 n# [6 ?9 S( U/ X/ T
for the extended interview:3 b2 I# W5 t, d7 X( A# ]8 |' l
/ S. y; s6 j. l- x. {+ k
it's divided into 2 sections,5 K2 W' ^2 H( J0 o) e7 \9 [
1 is impromptu talk
1 i- Z; O5 ?2 L2 j! wanother is group discusion
6 y8 e- ?8 L" Q+ E0 j7 C! [; l8 q6 n+ d* K4 {
all conducted in english

) G' \$ m& {/ fimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare6 o! K% I: C, C7 X

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

# }( ]1 k; v" C: @5 ugroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion4 I4 ]5 a8 c* v1 S6 ]

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes
% ^" r" l* b' d8 o: u4 x, I5 p0 O# s' C+ a  B& A8 c8 c, J
the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!* G- F' ?: J9 s0 p! X
