if you have someone to drive you to GO station at Kennedy and 407 or up to Town Centre Blvd... it may be faster....
; \1 n* ?* S/ x  V% b8 v& I  ]7 U9 Z1 f% \8 d
usually a friend of mine goes to GO station at Kennedy and 407 for GO Bus to York University....
3 G! r4 ?) s6 w0 {2 kYork Region has a new Bus route from Town Centre Blvd ( Warden and Hwy7) and goes  to York University as the last stop... i don't know the fare of that, because i used to drive myself to York University.....0 X; f  [" _- x

% q+ @* s; W9 Z! X2 |- w2 |try to look for these method, it may be faster by a bit.... but i am a bit outdated, you better research it....

it shouldn't take you 2 hours to get to York....( s. R' {& G1 P6 p& R" h  t! b1 \. d  C
I use the same way as you to get to York too
