Solitude is part of life....we long for company....but secretly we crave for that rare moment of quiteness on our own.

People feel 'empty' or 'depressed' after a great outing because:, x; X- b2 P, R' x
a) they know this 'feeling' of contentment can not last long
9 a! u2 X' q8 z( _& p# H/ _* rb) they hate to be alone, so they loiter with people...but it's in large group they 'discover' they want to be alone.- t: e9 Y$ x% G9 v* P) n
c) the contrast is too great between togetherness and lonliess.; u. m/ u0 i% y/ U4 J' D9 ~

4 P2 P* @, b1 Y- e0 jLonliness is not the feeling at your first day of school/work/new life in another country. It's normal to be alone in those circumstances. Loliness is the realization that you're indeed alone after spending years w/ your friends, co-workers, peers, and family members. That's sad. |
