Solitude is part of life....we long for company....but secretly we crave for that rare moment of quiteness on our own.; s# R, w* X" @. v, h, ]3 ~
8 Y8 I( ?; \/ k: Y- f9 c/ TPeople feel 'empty' or 'depressed' after a great outing because:
+ @* [ J# S+ V3 Oa) they know this 'feeling' of contentment can not last long+ |/ g2 X4 o; a, g8 f; u; t* J+ H; s
b) they hate to be alone, so they loiter with people...but it's in large group they 'discover' they want to be alone.* ]5 O. x1 o. p1 y6 Y" B
c) the contrast is too great between togetherness and lonliess.

Lonliness is not the feeling at your first day of school/work/new life in another country. It's normal to be alone in those circumstances. Loliness is the realization that you're indeed alone after spending years w/ your friends, co-workers, peers, and family members. That's sad. |
