Solitude is part of life....we long for company....but secretly we crave for that rare moment of quiteness on our own., z4 f k- A! D4 t. Q) s6 X( R

People feel 'empty' or 'depressed' after a great outing because:* V3 F- g: K" l+ @: g; F# o( G
a) they know this 'feeling' of contentment can not last long
' o8 z% V* Q( i) |b) they hate to be alone, so they loiter with people...but it's in large group they 'discover' they want to be alone.' y/ [6 X, C" j& I/ h, Z$ M
c) the contrast is too great between togetherness and lonliess.6 I3 Q2 H- }) A2 h

Lonliness is not the feeling at your first day of school/work/new life in another country. It's normal to be alone in those circumstances. Loliness is the realization that you're indeed alone after spending years w/ your friends, co-workers, peers, and family members. That's sad. |
